Do you use white noise to help with sleep or concentration? Many people do, especially to help their babies sleep. Some of the noise recordings on streaming platforms rack up millions of plays, as they’re looped for hours every night by a great number of people. So I decided to create my own recordings and give all the money raised to children’s charities. This way, we can all be charitable in our sleep!
I created a collection of noise recordings – white noise, pink noise, blue noise and many other types – which can be looped. All the money raised will go to the Lullaby Trust, who promote safer sleep for babies, and to my friends’ son Sacha who has 2q37 Deletion Syndrome and needs help paying for treatment.
The Lullaby Trust raises awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), provides expert advice on safer sleep for babies and offers emotional support for bereaved families. They’ve helped to reduce SIDS rates by 83% since 1991 – that’s over 29,000 babies’ lives saved.
If you use noise to help with sleep or concentration, please consider switching to these particular recordings and tell your friends to do the same!
I have plans to create other recordings such as gentle piano music and field recordings, drop me a line if you have any requests or ideas!
